This kitchen space had a very dark corner and a large chimney breast, which had housed a range cooker. The requirement was to brighten up the room and create a clean, modern look, suitable for a young family. The chimney breast in the final design is concealed by a bank of tall units, and a new Velux window illuminates it beautifully.
