A traditional approach to wardrobe design is to plan a unit of hinged doors with handles. The wardrobe is generally a standard height and can be either free-standing (pictured) or built-in -usually up to a wall or in an alcove. Although built-in is usually more practical, making the best use of space, a free-standing wardrobe can be a statement piece in the room.
